Telehealth
Clinical hypnotherapy — wherever you are
The same structured, professional sessions. From your own space.
Telehealth sessions are available Australia-wide and run via Cliniko’s secure video platform. The structure is the same as an in-person appointment — 50 minutes, the same fees, the same clinical approach — delivered from a private space of your choosing.
How it works
Hypnotherapy translates well to telehealth
The focused, internal nature of hypnotherapy means the work doesn’t depend on being in the same room. Many clients find it easier to settle in their own space than to walk into a new one. Sessions run via Cliniko’s secure, encrypted telehealth platform — the same system used to manage your booking and clinical records — so everything sits in one place.
Before your session
Setting up for your session
A small amount of preparation makes a real difference. Have this in place before the session starts so we can get straight into the work.
Your space
A private, quiet room
Choose somewhere you won’t be interrupted. Let household members know you’re not to be disturbed for the duration of the session. Settle pets in another room if possible.
Your device
Computer, tablet or phone
Any device with a working camera and microphone is fine. A stable wifi connection matters more than the device itself. Test your setup before the session so you’re not troubleshooting at the start.
Camera position — conversation phase
Eye level, well lit
Place the device at eye level so we can talk naturally. Natural light coming from in front of you works best; avoid sitting with a bright window behind you.
Camera position — relaxation phase
Visible while reclined
During the hypnotic phase you’ll move to a reclined position. Test in advance that your face remains visible to me while reclined — I monitor breathing and visual cues throughout. You’re welcome to dim the lights at this point.
In practice
How a telehealth session works
Initial session · 50 minutes
The first appointment
The structure is the same as an in-person session. I spend the first 20 minutes or so building a picture of what you’re working with — the situations, the patterns, what you’ve already tried. From there I explain what I’m proposing, and the rest of the session is the hypnotic work itself.
Follow-up sessions · 50 minutes
Focused and progressive
Follow-ups are more focused. I review what’s shifted, what hasn’t, and where the work needs to go next. Each session builds on the last rather than repeating the same ground.
Technical
What happens if something goes wrong
If the connection drops, I’ll wait briefly, then send you a text message, then call your mobile directly. Please keep your phone nearby and available throughout the session so we can pick the work back up without losing momentum.
Clients are responsible for arranging an appropriate, quiet environment for the session. Interruptions caused by the client’s environment — household members, pets, background noise, unstable internet on the client side — are outside my control.
Services available via telehealth
What can be addressed via telehealth
Telehealth is available across all the concerns I work with. Suitability varies by condition and individual — if you’d like to talk it through before booking, a free discovery call is the easiest way.
Bookings
Payment and cancellations
Payment of $245 is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or no-shows with less than 24 hours’ notice are non-refundable. If you need to reschedule, please give us at least 24 hours’ notice and we’ll transfer your payment to a new appointment time.
